Jane Cowles is an illustrator, designer and attorney. As a child, Jane loved the illustrations in the books she read - from the creatures in Beatrix Potter books to the illustrations in Alice in Wonderland. The stories and the Illustrations inspired her to draw. She was influenced by her roommate in her freshman year of college at Drew University to begin the artistic journey she loved as a child. She majored in Fine Art and English Literature, interned as a photo editor at Art and Antiques Magazine, was the recipient of the Dean’s Award for Sculpture at Drew University, and volunteered as a docent at Galleries in Greenwich Connecticut and at Edward Hopper House. Jane’s passion for art and design has influenced her career as an attorney. She advises artists and art galleries on business, contracts and tax matters and represents them in court.
